Capacity Building

The Capacity Building initiative is dedicated to strengthening the skills, knowledge, and resources of African institutions, communities, and stakeholders to effectively address climate change, food security, and biodiversity conservation. By providing targeted training, workshops, and resources, AfriCLAN helps equip individuals and organizations to drive sustainable change at local, national, and regional levels.

Our Key Capacity Building Initiatives:
  • African Climate Adaptation Service Initiative (ACASI)

Supports local governments, businesses, and organizations in designing and implementing climate adaptation strategies. Provides training on climate risk assessment, adaptation planning, and disaster resilience.

  • Africa Food Initiative (AFI)

Enhances the capacity of smallholder farmers and agribusinesses to adopt sustainable, climate-smart agricultural practices. Promotes regenerative farming techniques and resilient food systems.

  • Renewable Energy Initiative (REI)

Expands access to clean and sustainable energy solutions to reduce carbon footprints in agricultural and rural communities. Trains local entrepreneurs on renewable energy technologies and their applications in agri-food systems.

  • Restoration and Conservation Initiative (RECOVER)

Focuses on ecosystem restoration through reforestation, land rehabilitation, and biodiversity conservation projects. Provides capacity-building support for local conservation groups and communities.
